InDesign Resources and TutorialsAssignment 2: Principles of Layout Design
PART 4: InDesign Introduction In order to design your cover, you've got to know a few basics in InDesign. InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop are like languages--there are so many tools and options and rules and tips--there's no possible way to learn it all in a semester. BUT--we will learn what's necessary, as well as how the programs are set up so that you can navigate and use your intuition to help you perform the function you want. Let's get started. The EZine Software Design Workshop has everything you need to know--up until the day we export our magazine. For now, though, let's just focus on what we need to know to make our covers. Assignment 5: Layout Design PART 1: InDesign Layout Tips Before you begin designing any layouts, let's read "Adobe InDesign Tips I Wish I'd Known When Starting Out," by Lisa Valuyskaya. After reading, let's go back to our EZine Software Design Workshop. Also, click here for tips for placing images into InDesign. |
